Motivation
- Set yourself achievable goals
- Start small, gradually increasing as your fitness improves.
- Measure your achievements.
- Reward yourself when you achieve that goal.
- Get support from family and friends.
- Try to treat your programme as a lifestyle change and adapt to suit.

Exercise
- Always warm up and cool down.
- You only need to do an hour of effective exercise, it’s a waste of time doing 2 hours in a gym.
- Try to incorporate resistance and cardiovascular training into your programme.
- Resistance will increase your Metabolism and Cardiovascular will improve your lung function.
Nutrition
- Lose 1-2lbs a week to achieve sustainable results.
- This is done by a combined loss due to food and exercise of 500 calories per day.
- Eat regularly throughout the day, at least 6 times with snacks.
- Drink 2 litres of water a day, keep hydrated.
- Try not to eat a big dinner after 8pm.
